Reading about the many  shared door protector issues - is anyone aware if they have been improved over time?

Looking at ordering them as an extra, love the idea of them but if they are going to snap off is there any point?

I’ve had them on my current Kodiaq and they’ve proved to have been grandkid proof for the past 3 1/2 years.

I’ve  ordered them again as part of the kids pack on my awaited next Kodiaq .

Yeah, looking at the packs it didn't sound an unreasonable price, but the model we are looking at has rear tints so don't really need the blinds so unless the protectors are improved we could leave the option unticked
