GPS date

Featured Replies

Hi any idea how to reset the GPS date on my sportline karoq 2020?

The date is set to march 2041band won't allow me to connect Android auto.

Tried to set date manually, three new good quality usb cables and three phones but no joy.

Jim

The date shouldn't be settable from your phone.

The date is not set by the phone, is by the car GPS

My apologies.

Your initial post was a bit confusing.

Switch the ‘set date via GPS’ off in the head unit and set it manually……….?

Yes have tried this and set time and date to manual, but still got communication error 8 on all my phone's which have all the latest Google play services software😓

Leaving the mobile disconnected the time and date on the head unit / in the car is correct, yes?

Don't know then - where's the 2041 date come up?

Why!!? The GPS signal is a time tick, so it should sync automatically. If it won't, I think it's a warranty issue.

I'd agree, however, I think I can predict what the dealer will blame, and it won't be the car?

I see your point; I'm not sure how you actually get GPS time 20 years out to mess up its NTP sync, other than maybe frelling about with USB cables.

Has Android Auto ever worked on this car? Have the phones got AA installed?

Not a alcoholic 😂

Oh come on Jim...clearly there is a disconbobulator fault between the infotainment system and fflux capacitor. Next time you are on Planet Earth, drop in to a Skoda dealership and see if they can help.
