I bought 5Q0 035 874 C  / main unit from ebay. I have installed it on my skoda octavia 3 2020. . I have press on / off but nothing on the screen.

My display screen is 5E09190605M.

 

any thought ?

Probably be useful to describe what part it is and why you are changing it.   I doubt anyone knows what you are describing from a part number

 

It's a MIB2.5 Amundsen headunit and screen 

 

What does VCDS or similar say? Can it communicate with the headunit?

 

Still, this isn't a MK4 Octavia issue so I'll ask an admin to move the thread

 Why did you remove the original MIB system on a 2020 car? What was wrong with the original screena and system? I am guessing that you only had a Bolaro and wanted maps but going to an Amunsden is not going to give you much other than just additional maps.

 

The MIB system is NOT plug and play. It requires recoding the new unit to match the car's set-up. You could also falling foul of CP (Component Protection) if you have upgraded to an Amunsden. There are ways around this but it will require expert help from the likes of @pab567

My original main unit is 565 035 840. i wanted to change it to main unit 5Q0 035 874 c . Is there a different plug for power ? i did not get any power when i plug 5Q0 035 874c.

yes i wanted a map so it can show on my Virtual cockpit too. the ebay guy suggested me for exchange with 5Q0 035 874 A to try it.

I thought i check it first with the expert on this forums before i return it. since it will cost me postage.

after i can power up the system. i will contact @pab567 to help me remove CP.

what do you suggest ?

@SurreyJohn You mean this name SKODA AMUNDSEN MQB 5Q0035874c DAB+ SPORT NAVIGATION. is it different cabling for power with my original SKODA Amundsen 2 MQB MIB2 565 035 864  ?

Pretty sure the Bolero and Amundsen use the same wiring.

 

What do the diagnostics say?
