Smartlink/Android Auto

Featured Replies

Both Android Auto and Skoda Connect Lite have issues with power saving or Adaptive Power settings which cause some very strange issues because the phone doesn't always get things right and gives unpredictable results with data transfers. Thanks for reminding us because it does catch folk out occasionally.

I also have had issues, after upgrading from an S7 to S20+.

Due to issues running another app I already had switched of the adaptive battery.

One of the main differences between the S7 and S20+ is the change from USB B to USB C connections, meaning I had to buy new cables.

Initially the Android Auto connection was fine but then it would drop out going down a bumpy road. Sometimes the connection would come back, sometimes not. I tried another cable but no difference.

The cable I had bought were not the cheapest, so I decided to try a more expensive cable for 3A charging and Data Sync. Hey presto no more dropping out.

May the the tolerances on the new cable are tighter and fit better in the phone socket.
