Karoq headlamp fogging from inside.

Featured Replies

Sorry if been asked 100's of times. Has anyone had their headlamps go misty from the inside. If so is it a warranty item. Only done 4900 miles, 16 months old.

Thanks

Yep, it's been discussed many times, mine comes and goes - there were some early cases of the headlamp plastic cracking near to where the bumper meets but I think it'll be obvious if that's the case........just wait a few days, see if it clears / gets worse.

It has been there for days. It doesn't look wet, just a dry fog, if you know what I mean. Thanks for your reply.

That can only happen if water is getting in?

Been well covered before, and the owners manual says it’s to be expected.

LED headlights don't heat up like halogen bulbs, so it seems more prevalent. Would a hair dryer on the outside of the lens help I wonder?

Bear in mind they're made of a type of pastic, not glass - so there'll be a lower melting point than glass!
