I have just taken delivery of a towbar and electrics from Poland which looks good. I plan to fit the tow bar but know the electrics need programming. Anyone done this in Ireland? Would I do the wiring fitting and then let someone do the programming or should I just run the cables and let them connect everything up and program so no issues with electrics.

 

I had Daltons in Portlaoise do a towbar on a previous car.  As you're a bit of a distance away from them, it'd be worth your while finding a reputable VAG indy who'd be able to cover the coding aspect.  If your car has towbar prep then its a lot easier in terms of wiring.  Just make sure that whoever does the job doesn't hack the wiring and uses the proper control modules.
