Featured Replies

Hi sorry I’m new kinda here I have a 2.0 tfsi 2009 just brought it today drove it from London and I’ve got the engine light on 🤬 however it shows up as faults are

16555/P0171/000369 – FUEL TRIM; BANK 1: SYSTEM TOO LEAN

16891/P0507/001287 – IDLE CONTROL SYSTEM RPM: HIGHER THAN EXPECTED.

My guess is the pcv valve and apparently can buy a delete kit for them is it easy enough to do ?

also I have cleaned the maf sensor but that all seems fine ?? Any advice will be great I plan on keeping the car seen as it was a new purchase today

Air leak somewhere, take the pcv off and check for splits. Could also be a split hose

Depends; some hiss if the engine will run, other need a manual inspection and not just a visual because there is no way to see right round them short of dismantling.
