  • Well... it has finally arrived. 5 and a half months after ordering and 4 and a half months after being built, we picked up our Karoq on Saturday. This time we treated ourselves to the electr

  • Good news!! My car is at the dealers ready to be collected on Friday.. !!! I am beyond excited.

  • I just got an exciting update from Skoda. Apparently my car has now been built and is on a ship underway to Australia. The ETA for delivery has been stated as 14th July 2022. That is almost exactly 11

Join the club.  Mine was built mid July and still waiting to be finished

Out of curiosity, what is your spec? Mine is an SEL with ACC and the family pack.

Sportline with dsg and digital cockpit

My thoughts confirmed. Virtual Cockpit seems to be holding up a lot of orders!

My week 22 build (end of May) has Virtual Cockpit specc’d too. Which all points to that being one of the pinch points.

Next week I am picking up a loan car to go to France for a 2 week holiday, I will ask when was the last car (of any type) that they have received from the factory.

You are just stabbing in the dark when thinking the choice of a Virtual Cockpit is the issue causing some to be unfinished.

That's interesting to see its the window regulator that's a problem,  also hadn't thought how many chips are in a car these days,  when you see this you can understand the problems

Hi,

Re Janes post about ordering a new karoq edition.  Im looking for the same but the dealer (on 23/8/21) told me the Edition is no longer avaialable.

Have I missed the boat????    or can it still be got new ??.   Skoda site isn't clear.

The Edition is shown on the configurator which is basically the same tool the dealer uses. I would find a better dealer.

I wonder why they are saying the Editon is no longer available.. maybe its just because the waiting list is so unpredictable now they don't want the hassle.. When I ordered mine, my car dealer said I may have to wait 5 months, but if I wanted to compromise on specification it would be about 8 - 10 weeks.. I considered this and whilst doing so he said he knew of another dealer that had ordered my spec (Edition, DSG, Petrol Blue/Beige Leather Interior/Heated windscreen) and was going to attempt to do a swap with him with the one he had coming.. successfully. I think I was just lucky.. but maybe ask me that when it doesn't turn up at the end of September.... !!

The configuration only gives the edition with 2wd 1.5 petrol engine now. Have to go to another spec to get 4wd

Thank you

I ordered my Karoq (SE Drive) on 30 July. Skoda virtual chat have advised it has been allocated a provisional build week of 43, which is mid-Oct. I was advised to check again in 2 weeks to see if that has been confirmed. If confirmed, it should be on track for delivery by 31 Dec, which was the dealership's estimated handover. We shall see.

Might be worth asking for delivery on or after 2nd January as it will be a 2022 car rather than 2021, and may be worth a little more in the future.

Skoda have updated the configurator

And on list of models, Karoq is showing only from stock !

It is obviously current as has Fabia mk3 also from stock

Thanks,

I've heard nothing from the dealer and it was supposed to be in build last week.  I guess I won't be getting a car now and will have to cancel the order, I can't wait around forever as current car goes at the end of September.

Is the current car is a lease?

Why not ask for an extension?

Is it just the Edition only available from stock? Not clear on site.

OK, went into dealer this morning with a view to canceling.  He looked it up on the system and the car was actually built last week as scheduled but is now parked somewhere awaiting "parts".  He said that the last two cars he received were delayed in that state for two weeks but then moved to "shipped" status and have since been delivered, couldn't promise anything at this stage but in all probability it will be 2-3 week delay depending on the part/chip required so a lot better than I was expecting.

Don't know but I did try and configure my 1.5 SEL petrol DSG just now and it said (I think) "not available contact dealer to discuss" so it could be only the edition is available.

Loads of fairly new and low mileage cars around the dealer network.

As might be expected when Skoda can boast how many cars they produced in the first half of the year and increased turnover and profits.

Maybe they were just getting the lower emission vehicles first registered as soon as they could in 2021 so as they are not penalised in 2022 if the average emission figure is not as needed.

When they can complete cars with the chips and get them transported they will because unfinished cars are a lot of money sitting on runways.

Just a shame Skoda and Skoda Dealership staff can not communicate better with customers who think their order has gone into the black hole order system.
