engine oil

Featured Replies

I bought my Octavia scout 1.8 TSI engine 2 month ago.

At that point it had done about  110000ml.

I got it serviced right away.

During the next 800km i've been forced to put in an additional 1 liter of oil and after 250km engine oil light got on again. It is burning oil and has smoke

So I need some good advice to what to do inn this case.

done 110850 did put in 1ltr about five years ago. It is serviced at correct intervals

It's most likely to be the ring/piston issue mentioned in the other thread.

If so, you need to find a VAG specialist to rebuild the engine which will probably cost a few thousand pounds :worried:

I don't think there is any easy/cheap fix for this I'm afraid....
