Opening and Closing Settings

Featured Replies

Just picked up a 70 plate Kamiq SE and having trouble locating the opening and closing settings.

This is the 4th Skoda I have had and I'm sure each one has an opening and closing settings menu where you can set auto lock and which doors the key opens.

In the car settings menu, I have sub menus for lights, wipers but not opening and closing. It's in the manual so sure the car should have it and searched online and found a video showing the menu being there on the Kamiq (see screenshot).

Any ideas on how to get to the menu?

Screenshot didn't seem to add to original post.

Go to VEHICLE, then press SETTINGS and on that page is what we see in your picture.

If you don't see that in your vehicle, I'm guessing that maybe the SE version doesn't have that function. Owners manuals are usually generic and all the info in them doesn't apply to all specs.

This is my own menu, seems strange to lock down a single option.

On the face of it, it does seem strange, but so do many other things that Skoda (and probably others too) are doing lately.

It is doubtless  financially driven, either because excluding it saves money,  or offering it as an option  earns them more money.

Can be enabled with OBD ELEVEN but i did it in a Tiguan and it was so fast that nearly took my fingers off. so I disabled it straight away.

Not hard to tap the handle to lock it
