Replacing infotainment

Featured Replies

I have an early Fabia 3 with Balero MIB 1 radio, no navigation.

If I buy a second hand MIB 2 unit, 5Q0035842A to replace will it require coding?

Thanks in advance

Fair enough but I'm not sure you're exact issue will be covered, I've not read all 23 pages only a few posts, I more thought that you might post your question there, I'd get confused after just a few posts there.

There were no MIB1 units installed in Fabia 3 so for sure you have MIB2 unit. Pls share model number and SW version of your current unit.

The fitted unit is 5Q0035820, Hardware H11 and Software is 0135. What I’m looking to replace it with is 5Q0035842A, Hardware H25 and Software 0245.

Any thoughts/ comments very welcome and appreciated.

Sorry for the delay I work nights.

I have bought a Unit plus screen from EBay,

Unit is 5Q0035842C

SW 0456

HW H41 and it has 30/17 next to that.

Screen is 6V0919604B which is the same as existing one.

I know I will need unlock code, which I can get but what coding will be required?

Any help gratefully received.

You might encounter component protection issues. @pab567 is the guy who knows these radios!
