Columbus SatNav Postcodes

Featured Replies

I have just updated my Columbus to the latest mapping hoping that they would finally add postcode destination search. Sadly this is not the case, when will they get with the 21st century?

I am wondering what the problem might be as I have the ability to enter post codes into my Columbus. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do. Forgive me if I have misunderstood, but this video explains how you do it.

The previous version Columbus in my previous Yeti and the later version in my current Kodiaq have always had post code search.

When you enter the city, in the bottom left-hand corner, there’s a button marked “Postcd”. Fill her boots…

I trust you'll be writing a letter of apology to Skoda :giggle:

That said, if memory serves me when you go into 'Postcd' mode it defaults to the numeric keypad because all postcodes start with a number don't they... #simplystupid

So sorry Skoda. BTW postcodes in France are all numeric 😉

Not sure what version this works on but on mine going to the 'search' screen gives letters and numbers and you can search for a directly entered postcode. Saves switching screens at the expense of a extra click once entered.

Does anyone know how to enter a house number after entering a postcode?

this seems so backwards now compared to my previous sat navs that then asked for a house number - it was annoying when going to a public location where you only had the postcode (and had to just enter “anywhere”) but much better when going to a private residence in a big street with lots of house numbers.
