Hi, 

The front passenger seat offers little support when driving along country lanes etc and I wondered if there are compatible Recaro type seats from the VAG range or after market seat covers which would offer better support and if so what complications could there be.

You can possibly get Recaro subframes but a major complication will be related to seat airbags etc

I'm not sure re compatibility with sportier / bolstered seats from Skoda eg Octavia vrs etc

The seats from a mk5 Golf should fit, so if you could track down a set from one of the sportier models you might be set. As ever though, confirm the fit before you buy.
