A good production day! Well done

Featured Replies

Quiet suprising considering the number of active members keeps dropping. I think we need to thank BPM for his increased contributions, and one of my cpus that finally finished crunching a WU after 2 weeks at it 24/7.

Looking like the top 150 by the end of the month is possible if we keep going like this!

I think i got a few more queued up and sending from earlier. Not sure they are on yet tbh :)

Hmm looks like a former soviet state is about to knock us back down again :(

You seen the rate they are going? Come on people if you're on the list and sat idle get folding again even if it's just once in a blue moon.

(Not that I'm getting competative here)

I think we'd better leave that former bloc country to continue up the leaderboard. If you look in the team summary, you'll see in the next 3 weeks or so we're predicted to go up 5 places or so, but for those that will overtake, the bottom two are going to take 2 years to catch us. ;)

Out of interest how many machines do you have running this?

According to the Stanford site, its got 24 processors active within last 7 days.

Woo Hoo :D

Moved to position 153 yay :)

According to Extreme's site, we managed over 108k last week. (Over 21k of that was thanks to BPM:eek:  )

Well done to those that are folding, and come on and get involved to those that aren't!

More active users would appear to be coming on too. I notice Mr Densem has started folding again after a little period of silence.

Will be having a few days of quiet time here as am swapping over the machines which need a heat soack test for the cooling. Sure I'll be back up and folding again in not too long though.

I've had a bit of a disastrous week.....

had 3 machines running, but

the PSU burnt out on one and I had to reformat the hard drive (it was 95% of the way through a biggie at the time as well but I couldn't recover it  )

the second one 'dropped' a WU half way thru so it had to start again

and the 3rd one has only been getting small WUs!

Hopin this coming week will be a bit better... espec as the week before last was my best ever week lol

Hi, almost tru my 3rd WU here now, only running a few days,, but to be honest, would like to cut bback and limit the % my PC spends working on them, set it at maybe 40% if it can be done. Know nothing about PCs really, lucky to have got it up and running to be honest ( thanks BPM ). If any1 can help me with this, please give me a shout on it, oh, and any1 know if l am showing on the team list and if what l am doing so far has been of any help?

Yes, the active users figure is actually the higher one again, with 50.5% active.

Great to see so many new folders as well.

I was hoping to have got a bit closer before Colin started folding again. :D

Remember, every bit helps.

All the Best

Any help on this guys???

Which version are you using?

The console version you can just right click the rose/cog in the taskbar and there's a drag arrow to limit CPU usage. On the console version you need to go into the tasks bit, stop the FAH task, then go into DOS prompt and navigate to the folder where the folding FAH504 thing is, and type in something like

FAH504-Console.exe -configonly

I think then you can change advanced settings and tell it to use only 70% CPU - thats enough to keep the cooling down a bit. Or, just plug in another CPU fan or two to get more airflow inside the computer. :)

Think I have it sorted :-)

My production seems to have taken a rise again too :D and i've also got past SkodaW - bit shocked when i just checked on stanford site really.

Whats happeneed SkodaW?
