I recently bought a mk3 which has a media in option instead of USB and AUX. 

 

Why is this and how do I use it 😁

Do a search for MDI lead and pick what option your require on the other end. 👍

Why did they go with this option though? Is it newer or older than the usb+AUX option Ive seen on some models. 

AUX was available on the mk2's but USB was after this IIRC.

I guess I might have a very first edition mk3 or something 😂 

All the others mk3 a find for sale, both have AUX and USB 🤷‍♂️
