Is it possible to change the colour of the green interior lights on instrument panel? (Radio knobs, Dials ect.)

Featured Replies

When you turn the headlights on, the interior instrument panel is lit up with a green backlight (Air-con dials, Radio knobs ect.).

At first I thought if I wanted to change that colour it would just be a case of swapping over all the green LED's for the colour I desire, but when I realised the Radio knobs are also lit I realised it may not be as easy as that.

Is there an easy way of changing the colour (like for some miracle them being RGB LED's that can be set) or would I literally just have to strip down the entire dash and Radio to change each individual LED, (assuming each button/ dial has its own individual LED).

If anyone knows anything I'd love to hear it😁

Thanks

An aftermarket Radio you can switch between different colours, red - blue - green, all the others would have to be done manually, only ever tried it in an old Corsa years ago, but in the end I paid an auto electrician to do it and supplied the 'eBay kit',

Technically... Yes... is it feasible... No.

You would need to dismantle all of the components and solder new LED's onto the circuits. Its a common mod on the dash cluster on the Mk1 Fabs. But basically no... you're stuck with the green.
