Wing mirror partly trashed by some to**er.

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if just the mirror part of the wing mirror can be replaced.

Some clumsy w**ker took mine out whilst it was parked outside my sister's place - pavement side as well - and has left the glass shattered and hanging by the heater element wires. The rest of the mirror appears to be fine, the exterior has t-cutted up fine and the motor works too. The mirror is mounted on a plastic plate with two connectors for the heater and two metal prongs which fit onto the motor itself.

Cheers

Steve.

I very much doubt it was accidental. B*stards :finger:

Yeah - totally agree. I'd just love to catch someone in the act. Was pretty much the same place as where I had my p6 Rover parked a few years ago and someone hit it with a brick !!

The mirror can be replaced seperately, I've bought the mirror and body recently. The mirror is about 20-25 quid from skoda.

Not sure how they could have done it though. It was a really pain trying to remove my half broken one as the clips clip it on and arnt really designed for being pulled off.

I got a price for a new mirror after mine was knocked off. Around 140 euro plus 65 to spray the top part (if needed as I think I can use the old one) and fitting around 1 hour at 75 euro per hour.

Just because someone thought that it would be fun to kick off a wing mirror.
