Reverse beep very long when it rains

Featured Replies

Hey guys

just have a problem in my Superb…when it rains a lot, my reverse sensors beeps continuously. I noticed some mold in the jack area, on the left of the trunk but I can’t find where the water enters. Can anyone help on this one?

cheers

You have a faulty parking sensor, normally caused by water ingress.

Water ingress indeed, I saw a little mold by the left side on the jack area.

I cant see where the water enters...

The water enters in the back of the sensor. You might be able to hear a faint clicking sound on the failed sensor when reverse is engaged. You can get replacements very cheaply these days (unlike in the noughties when they were £100 EACH!!).
