Selling a private plate

Hi,

Earlier this year my MK2 Octavia was written off. It had a personalised plate on it which I decided to sell. It's currently listed on RegTransfers.co.uk but by adding their 'cut' they've added nearly 40% to the price and I'm concerned that this may be putting off potential buyers.

Just wondered if anyone had experience of selling a personalised plate privately and could give me some advice including how you agreed a valuation etc, or if there's a better website I can use?
