I have the same colour on my Scala, but I wanna those rims 🤣

What's under the hood? 1.5 TSI?

I hope I’m not still waiting for mine because they used all the grey paint on yours!!!

It looks good, and I hope that it hits the spot for you.

Mine was built in the first days of March (apparently) and has been stuck dockside in Germany for over three weeks now… sigh…

She went for the 1.0 tsi as she wasn’t bothered about the power. If it was my choice it would have been the 1.5tsi DSG

I got my Octavia DSG delivered in Jan and I wouldn’t go back to a manual.

Let’s hope they have some paint left.

She absolutely loves it. I don’t think I will be allowed to drive it much but it may means she stops nicking my Octavia !

So with the grand total of 9 mile on it, it has come up with 7 errors including engine management light ! 😡

Errors-

start/stop

Abs/stability

lane assist

front assist

Dynamic road signs

Tyre pressure monitoring

Dynamic cornering lights

Any ideas on how to get rid without a trip to the dealers ?

Damn. Well, it could be battery, but the best thing to do it is to drive it to the dealership.

The car has warranty, right?

I would hope so, it was delivered brand new this morning with 9 mile on the clock. We drove 1/2 mile and all the errors appeared. It hasn’t reached 10 mile yet !

looks like a trip to the dealers is on the cards.

Lovely looking car!

Regarding the faults my money is on the battery. If you have the means measure the battery volts in the morning with the car cold, or put it on float charge tonight if you have a suitable charger, whatever its back to the supplier pronto. It will be some stupid reason that should not have happened. It'll get sorted!

@GiantstuIf you are such a short distance from the dealership they could send out their man that can in a van with his device to read the fault codes, see if they failed to do something at the PDI like check things and not just reset it from 'Transit mode' and a look around.

Is the under 10 miles from collecting it and had it a few miles delivery miles or was it 0 miles?

EDIT.

Aaa sorry, so the car was delivered to you, was that on a trailer/ flat bed  or driven?

Skoda Assist can get a responder out to you.

It was delivered on a flat bed truck with 9 mile  to our home address. I pulled it onto our driveway and there were no errors. When we finished work we went to go out and after about 1/2 mile it then started beeping and showing the errors.

We drove home and will be calling Skoda Assist in the morning.

To complete my tale…  ordered mid-January, built late Feb/early March, delivered mid-April after three weeks delay on German dockside and almost a week for the lorry to bring it from the UK port of arrival to my dealer in Cardiff.

Looks fine: only very, very slight surprise is that the small storage area at the front of the gearstick does not have a sliding cover to it as all my Octavias did, but apart from that, all looks good.

Accumulation of dog fur in it commences tomorrow. Oh well…

Ordered Wk4 (24 Jan) and Skoda just confirmed build week Wk16 (now), quoting 8 wks from now to delivery.. Mid Jun will be 20 wks from order but not counting on it..

Meanwhile - app 'Hiya Car' has been a great fallback whilst we have an empty driveway. Peer to peer car hire - like airBnB for cars.. and for what we've needed it for, cheaper that comparable taxis, and way cheaper than conventional car hire.

Sorry to hear that. Not good, is it? The salesperson told me yesterday that delivery times are coming down generally (my Scala was firstly estimated at June delivery) and that Octavia’s are now down to about 30 weeks from order to delivery from 50 weeks earlier this year.

I wonder what is causing the delay with yours? Fingers crossed for good news for you.

Not sure, there was a 16 week lead time when I ordered and they said it would be here for 1st March 2023.

It is a bog standard Scala SE Technology in Factory Blue (Energy Blue).

There are big delays importing to the UK across the VW group brands right now and the delays are building.   There is s a link in the forum for some of the other models.

By chance I drove past the freshly arrived imported cars at Sheerness docks awaiting transport to the UK dealers a few days ago. The was a fair number of Skoda's there, mainly large SUV as far as I could see.

  • 4 weeks later...

My car has left the factory.

I have received the VIN but the MySkoda app throws back an error.

Currently 15wks since order, just been told it's at the port.. dealer estimating 3wks but have done well at putting it to the back of my mind. Still expecting it to be nearer 26wks given the current situation.

My Scala finally arrived last month after being delayed three weeks by sitting on a German dockside, and over a week in a UK port, waiting for a HGV driver to be found to transport it to my dealer.

sigh…

I ordered a soon to be instock lease Scala(standard factory blue 110 se)  3/3 , confirmed built and on its way to port 18/4 , arrived in uk port 25/4 and only just arrived at dealership. Hopefully with me soon!

  • 2 weeks later...

My Scala has arrived at the port of exit, should I expect another 3 week wait until it moves again?

I have entered the VIN in the MySkoda app and the car now shows, should I activate it now or wait?

You've probably already worked this out, but don't think you'll be able complete activation until you've got access to the car.

FWIW - it took 12 days for mine from arriving at port of exit to arriving in UK. Skoda are quoting 2-3wks from arrival in UK to delivery.
