We have the Skoda Connect and the remote lock unlock worked for a couple of days. Now all we get is the message "Processing time for this request has run out Please try again later. Thank you !" or something like "we are processing more important messages .....".

 

Does anybody else have this, there is an active subscription and the other features work, flashing indicators etc,

 

It has also got the lastest updates as of last week.

I wonder how many people have paid the annual charge and still feel that it is good value for money. Personally I chose not to subscribe after the first year.

I got 4 months free (car was 8 months old when I got it) and I wouldn't pay for it. It was unreliable and therefore pretty much useless. 

 

However Connect light with the VW diagnostic port device for £4.75 is great value. I know its not the same, but it works out fuel use and knows where you parked (Yes, I'm getting old) which is well worth the fee.

Perhaps it was out of wi fi range and tried several times then timed out?

It did work for a short while after being activated, but now keeps coming up with those messages. I did wonder about signal reception, but all the other features work, I can flash the lights and sound horn.

 

I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it didn’t fix it, even tried installing on another phone.

 

I assume the locking part is on GSM as well and not limited to a wifi connection to the car, so you can only do it when you are near the car ?.

Disconnected battery for 5 minutes and it worked straight away

Sorry should of said, the car battery. Worked first try after I reconnected car battery and used the app.

Well that lasted a day, stopped working again and getting the same messages. If you disconnect the car battery again it will reset and work.

 

It is not very reliable to be honest, will have to email Skoda to see if there is a fix or just not bother with the remote unlock/lock.
