At speeds above 80km/h the power steering stop working, at consistent speeds above 110km/h some of the electronics stop working and the ABS and Braking red warning lights come on.

@Wino Here's the vid, but I am not sure whether it ever goes over the cable you seem to talk about.

You just about get a glimpse of part of the correct connector at about 44 seconds I think, but it's not clear.

In reference to this picture below, you show the bottom couple of connectors (4 and 6 way lambda sensor ones, pink star and below in my pic here) a few times in photos you've got above and in the video, but your camera is too low to see the top one (red arrow in my pic) that is the one you're looking for.

I see you don't have A/C so you won't have the brown ones in my pic, and the bracket may have a gap there with nothing in, or the alternator conns may be moved down to that location:

@Wino

is this it? It's right above and to the right of what you see at :44 in the video.

On the left of the picture, yes, looks like one half of the connector pair. 😊

From that angle it looks like both wires going into that half are intact, so see what the wires look like coming out of the mating connector even further to the left of that shot.

Edit: do your reversing lights work? The other connector shown by that photo is the one on the reverse light switch in the gearbox, and it looks like it's suffered some significant trauma!

@Wino I only see 1 wire on the left, black one? I'll go through my pictures and try to see whether I can find something of the other half, though it's possible I did not get it at all. In that case I'll have to lift the car up again sometime next week, is there anyone else I could check in-case I find that the wire is actually intact?

I will test the reversing lights tomorrow, but if I remember correctly, they work.

 There are definitely two wires visible, marked with violet and blue arrows here. The mating half of the connector is where they continue off towards the alternator, over where the red rectangle is. You'll see a blue and brown coming out of that mating connector, or you should.

@Wino yeah, it sadly isn't included in the pictures I took, I even took a video of the connector but did not turn the camera to the left. I assume I had an issue getting/seeing there

The mating half is what the red arrow is pointing to in this pic, posted just a few posts ago. The two wires coming off it are sleeved in black convoluted plastic protection. They often break at the point they come out of that just at the cable entry of the connector.

Hi,

have you replaced any tyres recently, are they the same size in all four wheels?

@MotorsportFinland Hi, I've changed into winter tires recently, why?

If you have an odd size tyre, it may cause problems with the ASR, and/or ABS, since they work off wheel revolutions. It's about 2 minutes to check that all 4 are marked with the same size, and not unknown for tyre fitters to make a mistake and supply one odd tyre in a set.
