Washer Funnel Cap Difference?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the difference between 6V0 955 485 (£5.02) & 000 096 706 (£9)? Yes yes £3.98

Both the same part physically, is 6VO a generic VAG number and 000 is Skoda?

I know this isn't designed to fit on the Superb or at least the TDI's but worth a punt if I can get it for £5.02

Both those prices are from ETKA, which is confusing.

I've rang my local dealership up but couldnt get through to the parts department so left a message.  I'm hoping they'll see if they can see the difference, they might even say they can only get the 000 number in which case I'll ring a VW dealership for the 6V0 number.

I'll update should anyone ever be bothered about saving £3.98

It is on Kopacek for about 8 Euro. My car isn’t close by or I’d check the part number for you

One thing to watch with the funnel possibly specifically on the 280 is that the washer tank is set quite high against the bonnet, and at a slight angle, somewhat negating the benefit of the funnel design.

I bought a pair from Superskoda (Kopacek) 18 months or more ago - one each for my Yeti and Citigo.

I kept one when I part ex’d them for the Superb iV - fits fine. It does look like it sits high but there’s no interference with the bonnet.

I couldn’t see a part number on it when I looked earlier.

The part number should be inside the flap from what I’ve seen.

The dealer I rang never bothered to call back so I’ll ring another

Tried ringing local Skoda dealerships no answer..., so I rang a VW dealer and neither of those numbers would show up, so it's definitely a Skoda part.

I rang a different Skoda dealership today and sounded like I disrupted a family funeral moment, but the chap couldn't see the difference and has ordered in the 6V0 number for me to have a look at.

I'm starting to think the 6V0 number is the part number for cars which have it fitted as standard and the 000 number is the "accessory" part number, and for some reason means a difference price as 000 comes with instructions on how to fit it etc.

I'll do anything to save a couple of quid haha

Apologies for the delayed response... I just had a closer look in better light and the part number is indeed under the flap: 6V0.955.485

i wonder if there is difference in the washer fluid cap based on the car being a Superb 280/272  vs others like Superb 220?

the 280/272 has the washer fluid located at the back, next to the base of the windscreen.

while the others have it at the front, next to the radiator and air intake.

Excellent so the right part number then.

I’m going to the dealer tomorrow as it’s coming in, hopefully they have an accessory wall with the 000 number out so I can look side by side

So I got the 6V0 part for £5.02 and works a treat.

The parts guys were more miserable in real life then on the phone, so I didn’t bother to ask why there’s two part numbers and £4 difference
