Stop sat nav displaying directions in between speedo and rev counter?

Featured Replies

Due to my height, seat/wheel position I can't see much of the speedo so rely on the digital speed display. Is there a way of stopping the directions from displaying there when using sat nav?

I think the inbuilt satnav will normally take over and show directions when you set a route.

However, once the directions are shown, you can change the information shown back to speed using the normal methods (steering wheel buttons etc) :)

Just come out of navigation on the maxidot  with folder  button on steering wheel ,then set it to display your digital speedo .

Thanks guys, I thought I had tried everything. I will check that out.

As soon as you have entered the directions and its found a route, press the right hand steering wheel control and it will drop you straight back to the speedo display (assuming that was displayed before you used the satnav)

Thanks guys. I had tried the steering wheel control but scrolling through the options I couldn't see any of the familiar speed, MPG etc. Turns out the options change once sat nav is displaying to a folder level up, displaying a bunch of things I had never seen before.

The speed, MPG etc. options are sub-options of a choice called something like car data (I can't remember now).

Ditto.  I find it annoying as well, so thanks from me too.

Pressing the button to the right of the scroll wheel will bring up the list of displays. Use wheel to scroll through and press to select. Can't remember the name of the one that includes the digital speedo but its there.
