just got a sony w800i. ace phone but it only rings 6 times before vioce mail cuts in . so if it in a bag zipped pocket or other room you never get to answer it!! but we cant find how to turn it off or make it ring for longer. any one know how or got any ideas please .:confused:

The duration before your calls are diverted to voice mail is dependent on the network you are on but can be set from 0 to 30 seconds, rather than the apparent number of rings.

This shouldn't change just because you have a new phone but if you want to confirm or change this on the W800i you will need to go into the Settings menu and across to the 'Calls' tab, then 'Divert' and 'Voice Calls'.

The options there should be obvious but go through and check them using the 'Get Status' action. It should come back and tell you where it diverts to (your voicemail number) and the duration of the delay which you should then be able to change using the 'Activate' action.
