Scrub radius on vRS

Featured Replies

Does anybody have an idea what the scrub radius is for the stock vRS 19 inch wheels ET48. I managed to find info saying that "usually VW group cars have negative scrub radius", without mentioning what it is exactly...

As if by magic, this article appeared. It won't tell you an actual number for your car, but I hope will tell you what the term means, and the effect of fitting different offset wheels, or spacers.

Thanks, Ken. I did some research before posting, so I am aware (well, sort of) of the term and the consequences of changing it via different offset, or spacers. I am looking at putting winter tyres on 18-inch wheels and just wondering how much I can play with the offset without any major effect on the handling. I've seen posts of people putting 10 or 15 mm spacers, and apparently the car handles well. Yet, I'm more of an analytical sort of a guy and need information, lol. Hence my question. :)

Search "Citroen Kegresse" then.

Yep - I call them cold weather tyres. Such a better handling and traction in the cold weather compared to the summer ones, especially what I expect from the sporty Eagle F1's...
