Are the factory fitted fuel tanks on MK2 Superbs made of plastic or metal?

I've read it's best to keep a fuel tank fairly full most of the time in order to prevent rust appearing inside it. My car is often left for several weeks without any use.

 

If the fuel tanks on MK2 Superbs are metal, I assume they'd be coated on the inside with a substance to prevent rust?

Plastic.
