HP IPAQ help

Featured Replies

Removed mine from the docking station this morning (all was well), pushed the button to turn on this afternoon, nothing. I noticed that both of the indicator lights at the top were/came on ,,,,, strange!

Got home and placed it back into the docking station, nothing, not even the charge light.

Bing-Bong, the PC don't even reconise it (unknown device) !!!!

What's going on lads?

you tried to reset it (menu and middle button togeather for about 10secs)

or plug into the mains and try a reset

Is it locked?

Lads, I can't even get the screen to light up!

Done the reset button at the back ,,,, ****all!

The actual reset is - switch the hold button to hold and then off and then press the menu and middle button together, keeping them pressed for about 10 seconds, during which time the Apple logo should appear.

yea thats the reset so what reset at the back are you on about as i have no idea

Sorry lads, complete wrong path I've started to lay here!

Title should read; HP iPAQ help. :smashfrea

Guess I'd better start again ,,,,,,,,,, unless you know better?

I did wonder when HP started making ipods :D

If the reset button isn't working I can't think of anything that would do the trick. Have you tried disconnecting then reconnecting the battery?

Jon.

Sounds terminal if the charge light not on, or it could just be a duff

It's had a rest for a couple of days during which I've had the battery out several times.

Plugged the little fecker in this morning ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the data is gone but I've got a copy on the PC which I copied across.

I'm now in the process of putting Tom Tom back on!

Next job will be speed camara info.

Thanks Jon (& all)

Speed camera POI is a must!

I did wonder when HP started making ipods :D
