Skoda fabia (landi-renzo) GPL problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm going to tell this story only for the report. Now the problem it's solved. Maybe someone will find this helpful or interesting.

I have a soda Fabia wagon 2009 with GPL Landi-Renzo plant. The car has had problems for years that come and go: turn off suddenly, turn off if the engine revs up, has acoustical advice and a very low speed that goes away if you turn off and start again the car. The yellow light of the engine turns on very frequently.

Running with petrol never had any issue, that's happened only with GPL.

I brought it to official retailers in three different places several times and other garages nearby. No one has ever managed to solve completely the problems that always show up again.

The last time, this spring, after 5 years of troubles, I left it twenty days to friends, a ford authorized mechanic, which discovers that all the faults were of the control unit: the component used to burn the GPL injector. He noticed it because every time he changes the component, after some days it doesn't work anymore.

It cost me 500 € but now my car goes like new. Volkswagen in Florence ask me 3500€ to solve the problem last time I asked.
