Heater Blower Replacement

Featured Replies

I have the famous squeak and sometimes cut out from the heater blower.

No big deal 15 min fix but the options out there for parts range from £50 to £150 for a Valeo which is the original in the car.

Is there really that big of a diffrence ??? What would you do???

Part Number 1K2820015G

Thanks in advance

Buy used cheap, buy aftermarket more, buy Valeo morer.

Personally I'd just put a new set of brushes in the motor.

A quick search reveals a few have had success giving the bush(s) a good squirt of WD-40 or similar and lived happily ever after.

Ok this would stop the motor when its cust out. But is this even possibly is the unit not sealed?

I thought about doing this but then thought all I would do is have a constanst smell of WD40 in the cab.

Does anyone know what brushes fir the factory motor?

If nobody chimes in just measure the old ones, buy cheap online and cut to size.
