These tyre also resist aquaplaning really well

I think this is one of the best feature of Crossclimates - performance in incredibly wet conditions is outstanding.

I agree, the crossclimates really are a fantastic tyre that do everything pretty well, I've have them on the front of my superb for 5k miles now and they've taken pretty much all I can throw at them, even muddy fields and farm tracks.

I also agree.  I had a full set of CC2 fitted just a month ago.

They are much quieter than the Toyo 205/55/16 tyres that were fitted to the wheels when I got them, and in the wet weather they have no problem with standing water, wet performance is great.

Not had a chance to try them in any snow yet, but given previous reviews I shouldn't imagine I'd have any problems.

Yes 16" wheels don't look quite as good as 18s, but that's about the only drawback.

Just looked at buying the same set as Zednine, just doing the homework for my 2013 Super II. The price is rocketing £600+.

Yes was doing the same myself. Their tyre prices are exorbitant

I've just checked and you can still get 4 crossclimate 205 55 16 fitted at Kwikfit for £312. They're a bargain.

Thank you, but I was hoping to replace the wheels as well as tyres. Buying as a complete unit.

It's usually much cheaper to source wheels yourself and simply get tyres fitted.

I managed to find a set of wheels that were from a Mk7 golf that were only a couple of years old for £100 on an eBay listing

Thank you.

Would the tracking need adjusting to compensate for smaller wheels? I always have the tracking checked anyway when I put new tyres on,just wondered if the smaller wheels size affected the geometry,if that's the right word

I wouldn't have though so it's not like the rolling tyre outer diameter is likely to change very much depending on what size combination you're swapping around.

If you want some more technical detail on wheels & tyres, I summarised most of it here:
