Racing line R600

Featured Replies

Hi all, has anyone got one of these on there Octy 3 if so are they any improvement? Or does anyone have any alternatives that are good?

From what I've read, performance gains are minimal. . But you do gain the noise (personal preference as to whether that's your thing) . .

I almost ordered one lastweek in the black friday sales. .

If your going to spend that much its gotta be combined with the intake pipe and turbo elbow.

Other options are the MST mqb intake, that has a very industrial but nice look.

Or ramair jetstream. .

I haven't used any of them personally, but there the main 3 as far as I know.

Other alternative is the pikey intake mod ( take out the snow grate in the airbox and block off the airflow into the engine bay on the intake tract- vw actually sell this as a genuine part)

Racingline taxed to the max. if they were a carbon box or something then fair enough, the quality does not command a £400 price tag at all.

I've gone for a pikey airbox mod with K&N, forge elbow and ramair hose. Cost less than half of the r600 box alone. Probably not as noisy as the OEM plastic is much thicker, but still made 339 bhp with a map and no other mods.
