CarPlay - anyone else have this issue?

Featured Replies

My CarPlay has previously been working fine with no issues, but recently it has suddenly stopped connecting. I’m unsure if this is related to iOS15 or if it’s something else.

I’ve attached the error I’m getting. What is strange is that I can see the phone in the device list - it just won’t connect.

Any ideas or things which I could try? Has anyone else had this issue?

Have you done a reset of the infotainment unit, push and hold the power button?

I get this pretty regularly. It’s my only gripe with the car. I don’t know if it’s an Apple issue or a Skoda one. I can make a quick journey with The phone connected fine. Park for a few minutes then upon restarting the phone is no longer recognised. It also sometimes just disconnects whilst in use as well.

You need to upgrade to SOP2.x version 0253 as a minimum.  Speak to @pab567 for firmware updates.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Yeah I did try holding the power button but it didn’t seem to do anything. Will try that again. I also went in to factory settings and reset SmartLink specifically.

Like I say first time I’ve had any issues in over 2 years so very odd.

And thanks @varaderoguy presume this is something which I can do myself using and SD card?

Yes - there are many threads on how to do this.
