anti roll bar

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a fabia1.4MPI 2000year, 60000km

People in skoda service told me that I have to change my front anti roll bar.

Last 10 days I heard some noice at front right wheel when the front right wheel pull down in small cavity.

Can anyone tell me is it enough to change anti roll bar, and if I do it how long the new part wilii be OK.

Thanks.

Well covered on here if you try a search but here we go again :)

The bar breaking is quite common. Only the collar comes off that locaes the bar side to side. It shifts sideways and hits the subframe, this is the noise you can hear.

Bar costs around £50 inc the brackets and bushes and fitting is around an hours labour. Plus you should have the four wheel alignment checked afterwards.

Had the same problem with my wifes 1.4 mpi 2000 my

I was told the ARB and bushes only came as one unit,

but my local non Skoda mechanic got some new bushes

to fit, they were really for some Jap car ? Toyota

That was 18 months ago. No problem since

As you can see in the above pictures its not a problem with the bushes, its a fault with the stops on the arb which stop it moving sideways.

Hi had the same prob couple of months ago a consent taping noise from the right front of the car had to change rollbar bushes and linkage seems a prob with older fabia's
