Auto regen in B-mode

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone has worked out how to do this.

When I select D mode, I am able to toggle between regen levels using the paddles on the steering wheel (I have the heated steering wheel which also has paddles). These regen levels are 1,2,3 and A (for auto regen)

'A' is useful as it automatically adjusts to speed limited etc. When this is used, a little blue A appears next to the D on the display.

Yesterday, just by chance after using cruise control, I noticed a little A had now appeared next to the B when using the B driving mode. Even when i cancelled the cruise control, it still showed the A on the display and worked great. But I have since not managed to find out how to select 'A' auto regen when driving in B mode.

The manuals says check the on-line manual. The on-line manual just says this:

I can’t help with your specific question, but can say the owners manual online or otherwise is overly complex in some areas and totally lacking in others, so I sympathise with what you’ve found (or not found !).

I have the basic cruise and speed limiter. I found a button whilst playing with the settings menus, which enables some kind of predictive speed limiter. I turned it on and now if I use the speed limiter it will auto set to the speed limit of the road. It will speed up and slow down according to the limit on the road just like acc but obviously with me pressing the accelerator. I can’t find any reference to it in the manuals, and for the life of me, I couldn’t say now how to get to that button again in the car !

Sounds like you’ve possibly found the way to achieve auto B mode by activating acc in B mode, then deactivating acc again ?

Well after much fiddling and reading up, it appears you really can only use 'A' auto regen in B-mode when the acc cruise control is active. What is confusing is that when you suspend the acc, the 'AB' symbol stays on the display for a while.
