watching tv on a computer?

Featured Replies

As thats a DVB usb device, I dont think it will have any analogue inputs at all be they composite, svideo or RGB.

Watching TV on a computer can be handy though, as is the ability to record shows and perhaps later burn them onto dvd.

I always watch TV on my computer.

Think what I've got is called Compro TV or something like that

I'll find out.

does that mean that i couldn't use the normal aerial cable from a VCR? I assume this one doesn't do analogue tv and digital? I don't even know if I can get digital tv!

check out freeview website and put in your postcode to see if you can get it. I have a digital tuner in my PC, but can't get freeview, bummer!

I wouldn't put too much belief in the answer though, according to the website I can't get freeview. Strange as I've had it for over a year, even on an aerial in the attic...

Interesting!!!! how annoyed will I be if I can get it. I'll try tonight when I get home.

Checked a post code less than 1 mile away, that can get it...doh

Networked TV!

Imagine being able to watch your favourite programme in bed on your laptop. With DigiTV you can. DigiTV allows you to stream a live TV programme over your local area network (LAN) and if you have a wireless connection (802.11g)' date=' you'll have Digital TV anywhere you like!

whats that function like?[/quote'] Sorry not tried that function , in fact i've hardly used mine because in need to get an aerial fitted in the bedroom :( i have used it downstairs though ,and my cheapish laptop easily coped with recording 2 channels at the same time struggled with 6 though, my brother who is the computer whizz in the family has a master and slave box allowing him to record upto 14 channels at the same time , as long as the channels are on the same multiplex i.e. itv1,2,3,4,chan4 ,e4,chan5 , and bbc1,2,3,4 etc ,i think you get the idea
