Jack mounting within boot holder?

Featured Replies

Yeah i know the title makes no sense!

Does anyone have a picture of the layout of the tools in the plastic holder located in the spare wheel? specifically how the jack is located into its space.

No matter how i try and put the jack into the holder it never seems to fit properly and the handle tends to stick out and prevent the lid close properly.

Thanks

I have the same problem, I think I've worked it out, see if you can follow me :)

The jack goes upside to what you expect with the crack handle on the righthand side furthest away from you, the foot doesn't rest flat to the angled part of the tray but just the edge touches it.

Haha, I had the same problem after changing my wheel the other week. I just managed to wrangle the thing in in in the end - doesn't seem to rattle about so that suits me fine.

You have to get the handle of the jack to sit in the right place or it won't fit properly.

Anyone else accidentally jacked their car up under the spare wheel well? Before fitting my LPG tank I was a bit confused by the tanks inability to sit flat, then spotted the lump in it. A block of wood and a big sledgehammer soon pushed it back out again. :D
