After advice and someone to update my sat nav maps which are hard drive based and i am unable to do what is necessary to update them.

Am in Ipswich.

Have used Eddie NL in the past on my Edition 30 and stalked him to this page. Hi Eddie

 

 I have spoken to others elsewhere and have an option to send off my glovebox unit to someone i don’t really know , which is off putting tbh.

 

Anyone else resolved this update process ? Nav i running 2015 maps which is rather annoying.

Just download the maps for free from the VW portal, unzip them and stick em on a usb or sd drive. Then upload them to your drive unit.

I was told by three specialists i cannot do it myself , one of them being VW Retrofit in Redditch , hence the question.

I have since posting updated my maps successfully myself. I am annoyed such specialists could state such. One wanted £100 to do it !

i bought the download from ebay on an sd card for£27. I am happy with that.

Ah, VW Retrofit... There's a name I recall from a while back. 🤣
