Vrs showing weird Injector Values on VCDS

Featured Replies

The Injector values are - 3.01, - 3.01, 2.99, 2.99.

The values should be as close to 0 as possible. This explains why my mpg has halved in recent months but does not explain what is wrong with the car.

Injector 3 read a misfire but it was changed and even worse after, so if that original injector wasn't the issue, what is? Anyone had any experience with this issue?

Recently had camshaft replaced with an uprated camshaft kit as the original camshaft was knackered.

Did you reset the injectors stroke after changing the cam?

I'm assuming the mechanic did so when he changed it. These Injector readings and the mpg issues have been around since before the cam got knackered fully. The misfires are very minor until I changed cylinder 3 so I'm not even sure if it's bad injectors.

Have you checked the torsion value for the cam timing?

No but I told my current mechanic to do so before changing injectors, yet he didn't. So that's definitely next to check.

Torsion/synchro angle is on 0 so doubt that is the issue. Misfire has gone from injector 3 to 4 after replacing injector 3.

Did you ever solve this? I have the same issue and I've changed injectors, injector loom, tandem pump, vacuum lines, fuel filter and still the same issue, injectors all read flat values like yours and misfire cylinder 1 even after the new ones.

What's your issue specifically? Mpg?

I honestly think it's been sorted since I changed the injectors as it's stopped behaving a lot better. Asked my mate with his pretty economical 330d how many city miles he gets off a tenner and he said 30. Mine is currently getting 35 on short trips which works out to about 30-35mpg. But my computer still says 19-20mpg. Used to display the same mpg with 25 miles to the tank before I changed things. Think the computer is a bit confused but the car seems alright. My injectors have no misfires anymore so you're may be the injector loom or something else injector related.

Basically all the issues you mentioned in your initial post, injectors are reading flat -2.99, registering a misfire on cylinder 1 even after an injector and injector loom swap, also low MPG but I think my onboard computer is also reading wrong as when you work out the mpg, its much better than it actually displays.
