got now idea what that means, first foray into dsgs, could you explain the differences pls

Had you gone for a 1.6TDI, the car would have a DQ200, which is a seven speed dry clutch DSG.  As your car is from 2014, I'd have advised you to search this site, and others, to do some homework around the fair share of failures this particular DSG experienced, and to make sure any 'quiet' service campaign work (34h5 & 34F7 IIRC) has been completed. One of which being changing the synthetic oil to a mineral based oil, which appeared to address some of the early DSG and mechatronic failures.

As it is, having a 2.0TDI, you have the DQ250 six speed wet clutch unit, which is considered to be a far more robust unit, and will undoubtedly serve you well.

I have both DSG's.  A DQ200 in the Polo, and a DQ250 in the Golf.  Both good boxes, it's just the earlier DQ200's had some failures.  If you're interested, use the search facility on here - there reading aplenty on it, e.g.:

Welcome to the forum.

Really there are no issues to worry about with a DQ250 DSG.   Just be sure to have the box serviced every 40,000 miles or sooner.
