Having issues with my Skoda

Featured Replies

Starts up fine but as soon as u touch accelerator revs shoot right over and white smoke comes out of exhaust can turn it off n take key out any help guys ?

Hello lc62 :hi:

You'll probably get more responses if you post this in the Octavia II forum.

Is it a petrol or diesel?  Which engine? How many miles? Service history?

Does it go past the redline - as in does it feel like it's a runaway?

Does the accelerator pedal feel like it's sticking?

When you say white smoke, are you thinking head gasket, or is it just normal condensation given the time of year and an over revving engine?  Any mayonnaise - water in the oil or vice versa?

Have you had it scanned for fault codes?

Its 1.6 diesel oil n water r ok like said soon as touch revs it. Shoots into red n im not sure how u ad this ts forum

Moved this to the Octy II section for you 👍

Not a complete runaway then if you can switch it off.  It'll most likely need looking at by a VAG garage with appropriate diagnostic tools.
