remap

Hi everyone , any recommendations for remapping, I don't want to go the tuning box route

To some extent, it may depend on whereabouts in Scotland you live.  I've had two Golfs and my Yeti remapped over the course of the past couple of decades.

My Mk4 Golf GT TDI was remapped at Star Performance in Dysart using DMS software.    I see they're now using a different company's software. https://starperformance.co.uk

Good company, good guys and I've been using them for servicing for years without any complaints.

More recently, I had my previous Mk5 Golf GT Sport and my Yeti 150 TDI remapped by Angel Tuning Scotland.  https://angeltuningscotland.co.uk

Paul Winston is equally a good guy and I've no complaints with the results in the two cars he's mapped for me.

I keep swithering about having our Karoq 190 TDI remapped as well but so far, I've resisted.

Maybe; this is why we ask for a location.

My experience with VAG group vehicles is that REVO technic https://www.onlyrevo.com/ are the best, if you can get their SPS dongle you can even switch on the fly between different maps ( including the stock one ) .

@GrisnardoWelcome to the forum.

Do you have your 1.5 TSI Remapped?

There have been plenty members wanting to have theirs done in the past years but nobody appears to have posted they have had theirs done.

REVO remaps can be good but then with the 1.4 TSI / TFSI Twinchargers theirs was absolute rubbish but they never wanted to admit to that.

The Engines could have issues and the original engine management but others like APR did a good job with Stage 1 & 2 maps.

@roottoot No I have not done the Kamiq yet, I have done it on a MK2 Audi TTS and 3.0 Audi A5 Quattro.

I have been in touch with them when I ordered the Kamiq one year ago and they told me they did n ot have a product ready yet as they were lacking a development car.

So the experiences are mixed it seems ... 😕
