Windscreen trim part number?

Featured Replies

Hello friends!

Looking for a part number, or any info regarding where I can get the damn thing.

There's a strip of metal that attaches to the bottom of the windscreen, which the scuttle panel cover thing then clips into. I was a plonker and damaged it, and now need a new one. I'll need a new windscreen at some point anyway but I doubt they come with the windscreen.

It's #5 on the diagram here, where #4 is the windscreen itself and #1 is the panel.

I've found 1U0845454 (https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/1u0845454-right-windscreen-trim-12665.html) but I think this might actually be the trim that runs down the edges of the windscreen? And not along the bottom.

I'll be forever in your debt.

I'm not sure if it's part of the windscreen (as in it comes with it, I know it can be removed)?

From Bowders photo here, you can see it's attached all the way around the bottom half of the screen.

That's the nugget. Yeah I know it comes off so I automatically assumed that the windscreen just comes as a glass panel sans fittings. 🤷‍♂️ I just can't find the part for sale anywhere and mine is ****ed on the passenger side 😆 It's not vital so maybe I'll query it with autoglass at some point.

I've had a look everywhere, too. Maybe, @nige8021 is able to find it?
