Featured Replies

Hey, im looking for a new summer rims. I already have tires (215/55/17), so would be great if rims would be same size. I have looked around but havent found the perfect rims yet. (added image of the car too, car color is Magnetic Brown)

No they dont, just something that looks good on that car.

Have a look at this brochure (on link), pages 19 and 20

Seems to be 4 styles in 17 inch for Superb : Stratos, Markab, Zeus, Triton

Some are available in different colours

Alternative is rims from after market company (or something else from VW Group)

Here are six 17" alloy rims from the 2016 VW Passat. The rim widths and offsets are the same as the Superb MK3, ie. 6.5Jx17 ET41 or 7Jx17 ET40. You can change the VW centre cap to a Skoda one.

@Rometk how do you find the ride comfort of the 17inch rims and 215/55 tyres? Is the ride a lot more comfortable than with the 19inch rims?

Hi

17" rims DO increase confort. I have currently 17" rims as winter wheels and my Skoda Superb Mk3 Estate is more comfy than it is with its 19" summer wheels.

The drawback is that steering loses a bit of its sharpness in tight turns if you you want to speed up a bit the pace...

But in winter conditions, it's rarely the period to speed up... ;)

18" rims may be a good compromise, if you don't want to have 2 sets of rims.

I am going 18s, my car came with 19s and I used a set of Stratos 17s with 225/55.

I've noticed like Bap above, a more "vague" steering and more plumpy braking, which was offset by a far more plush ride, without so many harsh reactions to uneven roads.

After a gazillion euros spent on metal for the wheels, my advice is to stick to OE rims, and if you want to go aftermarket, keep the darn things even if you have no east storage. When you sell the car, will be generally easier if it has its original components.
