Bolero unit and purchasing navigation add on

Featured Replies

I wonder if there’s someone out there that can help.

I picked up my Octavia SE last week and have been trying to find a way to get Carplay maps to show in the virtual cockpit. I now realise that this isn’t possible and wish I’d researched more.

I have limited vision in my left eye, so the idea of a cockpit display for navigation is great.

I have an option through the infotainment system to purchase navigation but at a cost of £342! My question is, if I were to buy this, would it allow for the maps to display in the virtual cockpit like on SEL and Tech trims or would it only display on the infotainment system.

I have asked Skoda UK but they weren’t to sure and suggest I contact the dealership. I have now contacted the dealership and they don’t know either!

if anyone does know or has purchased the navigation option through the infotainment system, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thanks in advance.

That’s really good to know with you having the same setup. Thank you for responding and letting me know.

The inbuilt nav is a bit rubbish IMHO - I just use Apple car play. It would be a lot cheaper for you to figure out some sort of mount for your phone to get it in the right place for you - might be worth thinking about rather than plunge straight into paying £340!

Thanks for the info. I find Apple and Google maps fine. I just wanted the convenience of the maps directly in front of me. It’s a shame there’s no way to get those maps on the vc. £340 is a lot of money for this one function. I’ll see what kind of mounts would be suitable and then make a decision. Thanks.
