Hi Everyone

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have just sold my VW transporter and taken a 2011 octavia VRS tdi in px. The plan was to sell the octavia straight on but I really like it so its here to stay. Its metallic black but looks as though it has never seen any polish in its life 🙄 so the first job is a full valet and machine polish

Brace yourselves for a flurry of daft questions

Hi and welcome to Briskoda, Paul! Hope you enjoy the site, and do detail anything you do on the Octavia as I'm very interested! :hi:

Thanks, I will do. Still getting used to it. Got a few jobs to do but the priority is the paintwork at the moment and make it look a bit more presentable. Now I have taken this car I now have 3 vehicles in deep black metallic 🤪

1xVw T6 transporter camper

1x Vw Up Black edition

and now the octavia

Going to have to stock up on touch up and black polish 🤣

Had a day cleaning and polishing. It's starting to look a bit better now but still a long way to go

Is there anywhere that sells a black surround for the front grill to get rid of the chrome? or is it just a case of painting the original

I'd say paint the original like some Mk1 Fabia owners do. I've been considering doing the same with mine. :)

Thanks, looks like a job to add to the list then. Not a fan of the chrome

Couple of jobs done today. Stripped grill and painted chrome part in deep black pearl to match car and got rid of carshop advertising on bottom of number plates

Looks good! I reckon you'd be worthwhile making a project thread to document all of these things, just as a suggestion. :)

Good idea, I will do that.

New Thread started in the projects section😎
