Just wondering if you can permanently turn off lane-assist or do you need to do every time the car is turned on ?

Every time you want it off which will be every time you turn the car on if you find it such a hateful thing. 

Not all are the spawn of the devil or super sensitive IME.

Sadly, Lane enforce needs to be canceled every time you start the car.
