Rear bumber protector for 21 onwards

Featured Replies

I collect my new kodiaq vrs tomorrow (trading in my 2020 diesel  kodiaq vrs).

On my outgoing model I had dealer fit a bumper protector (black strip across the top which protects bumper from scratches as dog jumps in and out of car).

They just called me to advise skoda haven't yet released a protector to fit the new face-lift model so I can't have it fitted. I've looked at the usual suspects for a third party one and I haven't been able to find any.

Has anyone here come across any?

I haven’t looked for them, but if you are struggling you could use 3M paint protection film on it. It’s very cheap and tough, you can fit it yourself. If you get the clear stuff you also can’t see it, which I like.

Search on eBay for 3M sill protector if it’s of interest.

I would be very surprised if the previous style  bumper protector didn’t fit as there doesn’t seem to have been any changes to the facelift rear end apart from the lights, bigger spoiler.

Skoda claim the rear bumper is different... but I'm pretty sure it's only minor (more around the diffuser/fake exhausts area if anything).

Unless anyone wants to claim/prove otherwise, I'd put money on the boot aperture (and, therefore, lip) being identical - so, as you say, the previous one should work just fine. However... it does niggle that Skoda didn't just update the part compatibility to include the facelift models, as though there might just be mm of difference in place that mean it fits, but isn't perfect.
