Power steering hose solutions?

Featured Replies

Found a leak in my power steering hose, so i am looking for ways to fix it without buying a new part. My mechanic was unable to find a cheap-ish replacement. Not interested in paying about 200€ for a hose that could potentially be fixed.

I tried pushing the hose on further, but didn’t want to use much force. Is it safe to push it more or is it normal? Or any other thoughts how i could get it fixed?

Hi Armis, welcome to the forum. I'm sure that will be a crimped connection (not push-on) - there will almost certainly be high pressures involved. You possibly will be able to find a hose specialist who can make a new hose cheaper - but car will be off the road while that is being done.

Just take it out and go to a shop which makes hydraulic hoses, they'll make a mew one that's exactly the same.
