Nice 911, but a bit old.

seems nice car .... but check service history ... never buy a porsche that hasnt got full service history especially cheap ones ;)

My boss at a place I used to work had the Targa version from the mid-80s. He described it as 'quirky' and spent a fair bit of time fettling it.

I'd like a 1973 2.7 Carrera RS...

Although the same bloke test-drove one before buying the Targa and said it was fierce, but very harsh.

911's are very nice, but modified Porsches should be given a wide berth from what the few enthusiasts I know have told me.

BTW, age isn't an issue with these cars generally, they're about as solid a car as you can get!

Apparently the rule with old 911's is however much less than £10k it cost's, is how much you'll spend bring it up to scratch. Can't remember where I got that from though...
